Wholesale Hair Extensions — The Add-On Revenue Your Business Is Missing
Every customer who buys a wig also needs clip-in ponytails, tape-in edges, and bundle sets. We manufacture all extension types in the same Qingdao facility that produces our wigs — same hair quality, same QC, one purchase order.
Four Installation Methods, One Factory
Each extension type serves a different customer profile. Select one below to see specs, pricing, and which retail segment it fits best.
Human Hair Bundles & Sew-In Weave
Our highest-volume category. Hair bundles are weft strips sewn or bonded onto braided natural hair. One complete install uses 3–4 bundles plus a closure or frontal. This is the core product for sew-in weave services at salons and the most searched hair extension category online with over 12,100 monthly searches for "human hair bundles" alone.
- Hair type: 100% virgin human hair, Remy processed, or raw unprocessed bundles from single donors
- Lengths: 10–40 inches, sold individually or as 3-bundle + closure sets
- Textures: Straight, body wave, loose wave, deep wave, curly, kinky straight
- Weft type: Machine double-weft (standard) or hand-tied weft (thin, flat, no shedding)
- Weight: 95–110g per bundle (10–22in) / 85–100g (24–40in)
Clip-In Hair Extensions
The entry-level extension for end consumers. No salon visit needed — customers clip them in at home in under 5 minutes. Clip-in sets are the most beginner-friendly extension type, which makes them ideal for online sales with low return rates. "Clip in extensions" pulls 4,400+ monthly searches as a near-me query, signaling strong retail demand.
- Set configuration: 7-piece set (120g) or 10-piece set (160g) with varying weft widths
- Clip type: Silicone-coated snap clips — grip without slipping, won't damage natural hair
- Lengths: 14–26 inches, most popular at 18–22 inches
- Colors: 30+ shades including balayage, ombre, and single-process tones
- Reuse: 6–12 months with proper care; heat-stylable up to 180°C
Tape-In Hair Extensions
The fastest-growing salon method in the US and European markets. Two adhesive weft strips sandwich a thin section of natural hair, creating a flat, invisible bond. A full install takes 40–60 minutes (versus 2–3 hours for sew-in), which means salons can serve more clients per day. Reinstall every 6–8 weeks using replacement adhesive tape.
- Tab size: 1 inch × 4 inches (industry standard), 2.5cm custom available
- Pack size: 20 pieces/pack (10 sandwiches) = approx. 50g; full head needs 40–80 pieces
- Adhesive: Medical-grade hypoallergenic tape; waterproof, holds 6–8 weeks
- Reinstalls: Same hair can be re-taped 3–4 times before replacement (9–12 month total lifespan)
- Hair weight: Ultra-thin weft at 0.8mm — lies completely flat against the scalp
I-Tip & K-Tip Keratin Bond Extensions
Premium strand-by-strand extensions using individual keratin bonds. I-tip (stick tip) uses micro-rings for cold fusion — no heat, no glue. K-tip (flat/nail tip) uses a heated fusion tool to melt the keratin bond onto natural hair. With 9,900 monthly searches for "K tip extensions" and 3,600 for "I tip hair extensions," this is a premium-price, high-margin segment.
- Strand count: 50–200 strands per pack; full head install uses 100–200 strands
- Bond type: I-Tip (micro-ring, cold fusion) or K-Tip (flat keratin, heat fusion)
- Weight per strand: 0.8g–1.0g (standard) or 0.5g (fine hair compatible)
- Lifespan: 4–6 months per install; bonds can be remade for 1 additional cycle
- Natural movement: Individual strands move independently — the most natural-looking extension method

From Raw Hair to Installed Look — In 5 Steps
Every hair extension bundle in our factory goes through this journey. Understanding the process helps you communicate quality to your retail customers.
Raw Hair Sorting
Single-donor hair sorted by length, strand thickness, and cuticle alignment. Each batch tested for tensile strength before processing.
Weft Construction
Machine double-weft for standard durability, or hand-tied weft for premium flat-lay. Our hand-tied wefts measure just 0.6mm thick.
Color & Texture
Acid wash, coloring, and texture setting. Steam-processed waves hold their pattern through 15+ washes. Custom color matching to Pantone codes.
QC & Packaging
5-point QC: weight accuracy (±3g), weft integrity, color consistency, shedding test (under 3 hairs per tug), packaging inspection.
Installed Result
The end result your customers see: seamless blend, natural movement, and hair that holds style, color, and texture for 6–18 months.
Textures That Match Every Market
We stock 8 base textures year-round and can produce custom texture blends for orders over 100 pieces. Each texture is available across all extension types.
Hair Extensions as an Add-On Revenue Stream for Wig Retailers
If you already sell wigs, you are leaving money on the shelf by not stocking hair extensions. The math is straightforward: a customer who buys a $120 lace front wig will spend another $40–$80 on clip-in ponytails, edge pieces, or bundle sets for different looks. Hair extensions are the accessories category of the hair business — lower price point, higher purchase frequency, and they bring customers back every 2–3 months instead of every 6–12.
We built our extension line specifically for wig retailers who want to expand their product catalog without managing a second supply chain. Every extension type we manufacture uses the same raw hair inventory and quality control pipeline as our wholesale human hair wigs. One vendor, one invoice, one quality standard.
Raw vs. Virgin vs. Remy: Understanding Hair Extension Grades
The grade labeling in the hair industry is notoriously inconsistent. "10A Brazilian hair" from one supplier can be completely different from another. Instead of relying on letter grades, here is what actually matters in hair extension quality:
Raw Unprocessed Hair
Collected from a single donor, cuticles intact and aligned in the same direction. Never chemically treated. This is the most expensive grade because sourcing is limited — one donor yields roughly 100–150g of usable hair. Raw hair bundles last 2–3 years with proper care and can be colored, bleached, and heat-styled repeatedly. We source raw hair from Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar) with full traceability documentation.
Virgin Hair
Also from a single donor with cuticles intact, but lightly processed: an acid bath to standardize texture and remove surface impurities. Virgin human hair bundles maintain 90% of the raw hair's longevity at roughly 60% of the cost. This is the sweet spot for most retailers — the price-to-quality ratio is best here.
Remy Processed Hair
Multi-donor hair sorted and aligned so all cuticles face the same direction. Chemically processed to achieve consistent color and texture. Remy hair extensions last 6–12 months and represent the entry price point for genuine human hair. If your customers are price-sensitive or buying extensions for short-term use (events, seasonal styles), Remy is the right recommendation.
Factory transparency: We label every package with the actual hair origin, processing method, and donor type. No "10A" marketing grades. Your customers get honest product descriptions, which reduces returns and builds repeat business.
Closures, Frontals & Accessories: Completing the Bundle Set
Hair bundles alone don't complete an install. Every sew-in weave needs either a closure or a frontal to cover the top of the head where the natural hair is braided down. We manufacture both:
- Lace closures (4x4, 5x5): Cover a small area at the crown or part line. Budget-friendly, easier to install, and our most popular pairing with 3-bundle sets.
- Lace frontals (13x4, 13x6): Cover the entire front hairline from ear to ear. Creates a fully undetectable hairline. Higher cost but the premium option customers are willing to pay for.
- HD lace vs. regular lace: HD (high definition) lace is thinner, more transparent, and melts into any skin tone without bleaching. We stock both — HD adds $3–5 per piece to the wholesale price.
We sell closures and frontals individually or as part of pre-packaged bundle deal sets (3 bundles + 1 closure/frontal in a branded box). Pre-packaging increases your retail price by $15–25 over selling components separately — see our private label program for custom packaging options.
Customization: Color Matching, Private Label Packaging & Custom Textures
Every aspect of our hair extension line is customizable for orders over 50 pieces:
- Custom color: Send a Pantone code or a physical hair sample. We match within 0.5 shade tolerance. Balayage, highlights, ombre — all hand-painted.
- Custom texture blends: Want a loose deep wave that's between our standard body wave and deep wave? We can create custom texture patterns by adjusting our steam-setting process.
- Private label packaging: Your logo on silk bags, magnetic boxes, hang tags, care cards, and barcode labels. We design the packaging layout at no extra charge — you just supply your logo and color codes.
- Bundle deal sets: 3+1 or 4+1 configurations in a custom-printed display box. SKU labeling, weight markings, and care instructions in your brand language.
